Getting started
Do I need to connect my bank account?
No. You add your accounts with their current balance and record what you spend. Nothing connects to your bank, which means there are no bank credentials to leak and no aggregator sitting between you and your money. Automatic bank import is something we may add later as an option, never a requirement.
How long does setup take?
About three minutes. You pick your currency, add the accounts you actually use with their opening balances, and you are recording. Everything else — budgets, goals, bills — can wait until you want it.
Can I use it on my phone?
Yes, and that is the main way it is meant to be used. It installs to your home screen on both iPhone and Android with its own icon and no address bar, and it is the same app on a laptop. Recording a transaction is built to take seconds on a phone.
What if I already track spending in a spreadsheet?
Keep the spreadsheet until you trust this. Enter your current balances as opening balances and start recording from today — you do not need to backfill history for the numbers to be correct going forward.
Your data
Who can see my financial data?
You. Your workspace is private to your account, financial pages are blocked from search engines, and we do not sell data or run ads against it. We are not in the business of monetising your spending history.
Can I export or delete everything?
You can delete your account and its data whenever you want. CSV export is on the roadmap and tracked in the changelog — your ledger should never be a hostage.
What does the AI actually see?
Only what it needs for the question you asked — the relevant balances, budgets, and upcoming bills. Just as important is what it does not do: the AI never calculates your balances, budgets, or totals. Those come from a deterministic engine. The model explains the numbers; it does not invent them.
Money and pricing
What does it cost right now?
Nothing. The app is free while we are in beta, with no card required and no feature held back behind a paywall that does not exist yet. The pricing page shows where we are heading so nobody is surprised later.
Will my data be held hostage if I stop paying?
No. Whatever we charge for in the future, reading your own history and exporting it will not be behind the paywall.
Which currencies are supported?
You choose one base currency for your workspace and every amount is stored and displayed in it. Multi-currency workspaces, for people earning in one currency and spending in another, are on the roadmap.
